In the rush of daily operations, it is easy to get caught in the weeds, focusing on immediate tasks while losing sight of the bigger picture. Yet, as you advance in your career, the ability to think strategically is no longer just a nice-to-have; it is the defining characteristic of effective leadership.

Strategic thinking is not an innate talent reserved for the C-suite. It is a disciplined practice—a way of seeing connections, anticipating challenges and making decisions that align with long-term goals. Without it, hard work often leads to little progress.

That is why we created Strategic Thinking for Professionals.

This workshop moves beyond abstract theory to provide you with concrete frameworks for high-level problem solving. It is designed to help you lift your gaze from the daily grind and navigate complexity with confidence.

Meet Your Facilitator

Matt Fenn

Matt Fenn is a wellbeing and performance speaker who works with organisations to help leaders and teams build the foundations of sustainable high performance. Drawing on insights from performance psychology, leadership development, and behavioural science, Matt’s work focuses on how people think, operate, and perform under pressure. Through keynotes, workshops, and programmes, he helps teams strengthen the underlying drivers of performance – resilience, mindset, leadership, and culture – enabling people to perform at the top of their game consistently while maintaining wellbeing.

Matt’s perspective on performance is grounded in both research and lived experience. His endurance challenges – including running over 3,400km across New Zealand and completing multiple large-scale fundraising events for mental health initiatives – have given him a unique insight into resilience, sustained effort, and navigating pressure over long periods of time. Today, he brings those lessons into organisations across New Zealand and Australia, translating them into practical strategies that help leaders and teams perform at their best.
